



The Nintendo DS version of the game features a unique 2D side-scrolling format. The Wii and PlayStation 2 versions of the game feature an exclusive "sandbox-style" mode where players can freely roam around New York City and complete side missions. The game's combat system features an upgradeable "web-rush" ability which allows players to swing around the city and target enemies. Players can control Spider-Man using either the Wii Remote and Nunchuk or the PlayStation 3's Sixaxis controller. The game's plot expands on the film by including additional characters and elements from the Spider-Man comic books and films. The game was developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. Spider-Man 3 is a 2007 action-adventure video game based on the Spider-Man 3 film and released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, Wii, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable.
